美国NIST SRM系列产品的详细描述:
 

美国国家标准与技术研究院(National Institute of Standards and Technology,NIST)是直属于美国商务部的一个副部级的联邦政府部门,原名:美国国家标准局(NBS),是美国重要的国家级研究机构之一。 NIST 成立于1902 年,主要从事物理、生物和工程方面的基础和应 用研究,以及测量技术和测试方法方面的研究,提供标准、标准参考数据及有关服务,在国际上享有很高的声誉。

NIST 目前拥有4600 位工作人员,其中科学研究和技术人员有3000 多人,包括 3 位诺贝尔奖获得者,41 位美国国家科学院和工程院院士,另外有1600余名流动研究人员。此外,NIST 在全国的附属中心还有2000 名制造业专家和工作人员。NIST 的科学家主要从事生物技术、化学、半导体电子学、建筑技术,陶瓷学、物理学、光电子学、防火、聚合物、信息技术、制造工程和计量科学。每年的科研经费在10 亿美元左右。

NIST 的机构和实验室主要分布于华盛顿周边的盖瑟斯堡(Gaithersburg)和科罗拉多州玻尔得(Boulder)。NIST 总部设在盖瑟斯堡,大约有2800名员工,占地234 公顷;玻尔得实验室位于风景秀美的落基山脉上,占地84 公顷,并与美国家海洋大气管理局和国家电讯管理局毗邻。
